Signs of Life Detected: Search and Rescue Operations Intensify, Human Survivors Possible Beneath Balibago Rubble
The Balibago rubble search, rescue, and retrieval operations intensify as the team’s radar equipment detected four (4) moving entities beneath the collapsed building in Balibago, Angeles City, today.
As hopes for possible human survivors emerge, Responsible Official (RO) Mayor Carmelo ‘Jon’ Lazatin II ordered the Unified Command Management Option team to heighten the operations as they continue locating those who are possibly trapped under the rubble.
While search efforts are still underway, the UCMO team clarified that detected entities do not qualify solely as the presence or “human survivors” because the equipment they are using can detect any form of movement and life signs, including those from animals.

On May 24, Sunday, at around 2:30 AM, a nine-story under-construction building in Barangay Balibago, Angeles City, collapsed. While the retrieval operations are still underway, the current death toll has now reached six (6) casualties, with others still missing.
